Exploring the Needs and Preferences of ICU Survivors for Post-hospital Rehabilitation
About the Opportunity
Researchers at McMaster University are conducting a study entitled "Exploring the needs and preferences of ICU survivors for post-hospital rehabilitation."
The purpose of this study is to explore the needs, preferences, barriers and facilitators for a post-hospital rehabilitation program among survivors of critical illness. In order to achieve this, researchers will be conducting interviews with individuals who have been admitted to an ICU.
In order to be eligible for this study you must:
- Have been admitted to a Canadian ICU for longer than 24 hours,
- Be at least 18 years of age,
- Speak English,
- Live in Canada
The study will include a 60-90-minute interview and you will be asked to answer questions and share your ideas and experiences related to rehabilitation after your critical illness. The interviews will be conducted by video conferencing and we will work to schedule a time that is convenient for you. All of the information you provide will be kept confidential and no identifiers will be used during the presentation of the results of this study.
