Larry was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2022 and later received a life-changing double-lung transplant. Since then, he has shared his story openly as a Lung Saskatchewan Ambassador, helping others understand the realities of pulmonary fibrosis, lung transplantation, and the importance of organ donation.

Larry continues to give back through volunteering and community involvement. From supporting Lung Saskatchewan’s Feisty Pickles Pickleball Tournament to volunteering with the Strides pulmonary rehabilitation program in North Battleford, Larry brings encouragement and understanding to others navigating their own lung health journeys.

Scarlett is a Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technologist and dedicated Indigenous healthcare professional from Big Island Lake Cree Nation. Through her work with the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority’s Tuburculosis (TB) Program, she brings diagnostic services directly to northern and remote First Nations communities, helping improve access to TB screening, early detection, education, and prevention.

Scarlett's technical expertise, personal dedication, and commitment to improving early detection and prevention, she is making a measurable and lasting difference in lung health across northern Saskatchewan.

David Innes   |   Corporate Champion Award
David is a tireless champion for radon awareness and lung health. Through his leadership with Radon Environmental and CARST, he has helped advance radon education, testing, and mitigation efforts across Canada.

David has been a valued supporter of Lung Saskatchewan and our work, contributing his expertise, resources, and connections to initiatives including Tackle Radon education sessions in Regina and Saskatoon, library-based radon monitor lending, and the 100 Radon Test Kit Challenge.

Christine's lung health journey began with a lung cancer diagnosis despite having never smoked. Her experience led her to discover high radon levels in her childhood home, where her stepfather had also lived before being diagnosed with lung cancer.

Today, as a lung cancer survivor, new mother, and advocate for radon awareness, Christine is passionate about helping others understand the importance of protecting their families through awareness and prevention.
