Christine Elliott| Lung Cancer Survivor| New Mom

You may have heard Christine Elliott, our Lung Ambassador, share her radon story. Her stepdad passed away from lung cancer, and five years later, she was diagnosed too. He had lived a very healthy life, and she had never smoked or been exposed to chemicals, so the diagnosis was shocking. Her doctor asked if she knew about radon, a term she hadn't heard before. With a test kit from Lung Saskatchewan, she tested her childhood home and discovered high radon levels.

Now, as a new mom and lung cancer survivor, her experience has shaped how she thinks about safety in her home. Christine wants every family to know that the best gift of all is protecting the people you love, starting with a simple radon test.
