From Access to Equity: Indigenous Virtual Care
Join Lung Saskatchewan’s Let’s Talk Lungs hosts, Trent and Lori, for a thoughtful conversation with Dr. Stacey Lovo about Indigenous virtual care and what it means to move from access to equity. Drawing on her work in partnership with First Nations and Métis communities, Dr. Lovo will discuss how community-directed, distinctions-based approaches can strengthen virtual and hybrid rehabilitation and primary care, especially for rural, remote, and Northern communities. The episode will explore barriers such as travel, cost, and limited local services, while also highlighting culturally responsive approaches grounded in relationship, collaboration, and community strengths. Listeners will also hear about virtual rehabilitation tools and models of care that may help improve equitable access to services across Saskatchewan.
