Inspired Breathing Webinar: Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in Practice: What’s Shaping Care

We are pleased to engage Dr. Jason Weatherald, MD, MSc, FRCPC, who will discuss pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a complex and progressive condition that requires timely diagnosis and coordinated care. In this session, Dr. Weatherald will review current recommendations for the management of PAH, explore the ongoing challenges associated with early and accurate diagnosis, and highlight the critical importance of early intervention. He will also discuss the role of multidisciplinary, collaborative care models in optimizing patient outcomes, and provide practical guidance on the key information required when referring patients to a Pulmonary Hypertension Center of Excellence.

About our presenter:
Dr. Jason Weatherald is a specialist in Pulmonary Medicine with expertise in lung transplantation and pulmonary hypertension at the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services. As a member of the Division of Pulmonary Medicine, his clinical and academic work focuses on the diagnosis and management of complex pulmonary vascular diseases, including pulmonary arterial hypertension. Dr. Weatherald is actively involved in advancing patient care through research, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration, with a particular interest in improving outcomes through early diagnosis and evidence-based treatment strategies.
