About our presenter:
Dr. Rupesh Chawla is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Saskatchewan and a specialist at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon, where he focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing infectious diseases in children. With medical and advanced training, Dr. Chawla is actively involved in clinical care, education, and research on vaccine-preventable illnesses, antimicrobial stewardship, and respiratory infections such as pneumococcal disease, influenza, and RSV. His work also includes contributing to national immunization discussions and developing resources to support best practices in pediatric infectious disease management across Canada.
