Support Meeting 
Wildfire Smoke

Join us for a special support meeting focused on living with lung disease during wildfire season. This session will be led by Téa and Blake, two 4th-year nursing students from the University of Saskatchewan completing their community placement with Lung Saskatchewan.

While the primary focus will be pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease, this meeting is open to anyone living with lung disease who is impacted by wildfire smoke, including those with asthma, COPD, or other respiratory conditions.

Téa brings experience working with Alberta Wildfire and is a member of the University of Saskatchewan Huskie Women’s Basketball Team. Her interest in respiratory health has been shaped by firsthand exposure to wildfire environments and a growing curiosity about the long-term effects of smoke on lung health.

Blake is originally from North Battleford and works as a Care Aide at the Saskatchewan Hospital. Blake is working to deepening his understanding of the respiratory system in order to provide stronger patient care in future nursing practice.
