About our presenter

Dr. Shelley Zieroth is a nationally and internationally recognized cardiologist specializing in heart failure and the complex interplay between cardiac and pulmonary systems. She is the Director of the Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Clinics at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg and a Professor at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Dr. Zieroth has held several leadership roles within the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and the Heart Failure Society of America. She is also an active clinical researcher and educator, known for her engaging presentations on cardiopulmonary physiology, heart failure management, and the integration of pulmonary considerations in cardiovascular care.

Dr. Zieroth has spoken extensively on the cardiopulmonary connection, highlighting how heart and lung function are intricately linked in both health and disease, an area increasingly important in the care of complex patients with comorbidities.
