Ask the Asthma Experts via Zoom

Join us on World Asthma Day at 7pm (CST) with asthma experts, Dr. Cockcroft, Respirologist and Jennifer Salahub, RN, Certified Respiratory Educator to learn more about asthma misconceptions and how to best control/manage your asthma. Following the presentation, there will be opportunity for you to ask Dr. Cockcroft and Jennifer your asthma questions.

 

Dr. Cockcroft, is a Professor in the Division of Respirology, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine, at the University of Saskatchewan.  He is a respirologist and a world-renowned researcher with a focus on clinical investigations in asthma and allergies. Dr. Cockcroft is a Fellow of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the American College of Chest Physicians.  He is a past-President of the Canadian Thoracic Society and a former Head of the Division of Respirology, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Cockcroft has co-authored in excess of 100 book chapters/review articles, more than 280 peer-reviewed research papers, and has presented approximately 300 invited lectures at regional, national, and international meetings.

Jen Salahub is the asthma nurse educator with the LiveWell Asthma Program in Saskatoon, where she works closely with respirologists and other members of the respiratory team.  She is a certified respiratory educator and is also a faculty member of the Lung Association RespTrec Program. As a nurse educator, Jen provides education and ongoing support to adults with asthma in outpatient clinics, in hospital, and in the community.
