{contact.email_greeting},
As 2025 comes to a close, we want to thank you for supporting Lung Saskatchewan and the people we serve. This year has been one of remarkable progress across our work in education, research, and advocacy. Despite challenges, such as disruptions caused by the Canada Post strike, we continued to move forward with our programs and campaigns, making a meaningful impact in communities across our province. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give this holiday season, you can make a difference in the lives of the 1 in 5 people in Saskatchewan living with lung disease. Your support provides hope, resources, and connection to those who need it most. Great news! Over 240 people have registered for our Saskatchewan Quit Smoking Challenge. The challenge runs from November 17, 2025 – February 28, 2026, but support is available all year, even after the challenge ends. Quitting smoking is one of the most important steps someone can take for their health. If you or a loved one are looking to quit or cut back on smoking, you can join the Challenge at www.SaskQuits.ca. You may have heard our Lung Ambassador, Luana Hiebert, share her story about radon-induced lung cancer. Luana’s Legacy Fund was established in her honour after she passed away in 2024. She was a passionate advocate for lung health, and her courage continues to educate and inspire people to take action against radon. Her legacy will support people facing lung cancer, provide radon mitigation assistance, and strengthen prevention efforts for years to come. Continuing our efforts to provide trusted lung health education, we celebrated the first full year of our Let’s Talk Lungs podcast. The podcast connects listeners with lung health experts, researchers, and individuals on their own lung health journeys, helping people take their best breath. Thank you for listening, sharing episodes, and being part of a community improving lung health. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets for our Breathe & Win Raffle! This year’s 50/50 reached $147,020, our biggest holiday jackpot yet. We’ll be drawing the winners this Friday, December 12th, and can’t wait to share the good news with them. All funds raised support research, advocacy, education, and patient programs right here in Saskatchewan. Looking ahead to 2026, we remain committed to advancing our mission in lung health, thanks to the dedication of our supporters. Wishing you and your loved ones a happy and healthy holiday season.
