Fall Impact Luncheon 2025

Date: Thursday, October 30th, 2025
Time: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Where: Studio 301, Saskatoon, SK

Join us for an inspiring luncheon celebrating the people, partners, and stories that drive lung health forward in Saskatchewan.

The Fall Impact Luncheon presented by Careica Health is an annual gathering where we honour lung health champions making a difference in the lives of people affected by lung disease — from dedicated healthcare professionals and researchers to courageous advocates and community partners.

Attendees can look forward to inspiring stories, celebration of milestone efforts and contributions, and a special announcement that celebrates both past contributions and the future of lung health in Saskatchewan.

Congratulations to all our 2025 award recipients for your dedication to improving lung health:

Award of Courage: Luana Hiebert
Lung Cancer Patient & Lung Ambassador
Luana was a very private person, but she decided to share her story because she wanted to make a difference. In a short time, Luana made a big impact. Luana said, “if sharing my story helps just one family avoid what I’m going through, it will have been worth it. Please test your home for radon to keep you and your family safe.”

Emerson Olain Award: Donna McDonald
Lung Transplant Recipient
Donna knows firsthand how difficult a lung transplant journey can be. Following her recovery, Donna chose to give back in every way she could. She became an extraordinary volunteer, advocate, and ambassador for lung health—transforming her own journey into one of service and inspiration.

Innovation in Health Leadership In Honour of Dr. Brian Graham: Donna Turner
Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Educator
A long-time volunteer and dedicated friend of Lung Saskatchewan, Donna has contributed to countless public, patient, and professional education activities over the decades. She has served on many planning committees for professional education events, and as a faculty member for RESPTREC, Lung Saskatchewan’s training program for health professionals pursuing advanced training in respiratory illness and disease.

Corporate Champion Award: Conexus Credit Union
Partner
In partnership with Lung Saskatchewan, Conexus Credit Union has helped hundreds of people across Saskatchewan breathe easier. Since 2020, we’ve supported more than 300 people across 30 Saskatchewan communities, helping those living with lung disease access life-saving treatments, equipment, and care.

Distinguished Service Award: Mary Dmytrowich
Volunteer
For more than 25 years, Mary has been a champion for lung health in Saskatchewan. From going door-to-door as a volunteer canvasser to becoming one of Lung Saskatchewan’s most successful raffle callers with over 30,000 calls, raising more than $100,000 for lung health, she has been a true inspiration.

Community Champion Award: Tod Boss
Radon Partner
Tod, or "Boss-man", cares fiercely about radon education and saving lives. He is a loyal partner of Lung Saskatchewan supporting our radon work. Whenever we’ve needed team members to attend events or share information, Tod is always there and ready to talk to someone about testing, mitigating and fitting a home from ground zero for radon.
